“Whole house remodeling. 3 bathrooms, kitchen, painted whole house, new flooring, new back door. Agape provided design services for master bath and kitchen. They had creative ideas in the kitchen to utilize space more efficiently and improve the openness. In the master bath, removed a corner spa, installed new granite-topped custom cabinets, expanded shower, new tile with decorative glass tiles, and glass enclosure. A detailed plan and budget was agreed to before work started, and change orders were handled to our satisfaction. When the inevitable issues came up, they had creative ways of making a plan B. Agape made it as easy as possible for us, as we lived in half the house while they worked on the other half, and then we switched. They put up a big sheet of plastic that helped to isolate the dust. They had workers on the job every day as promised, and it lasted about 8 weeks. The workers were courteous and professional, and cleaned up at the end of each day. They were considerate of our dog. We were satisfied with their handling of the punch list to finish up the job. Agape kept their commitments with honesty and integrity.”

“A rare hem. Remodels and upgrades to a house can be so stressful that usually we put it off but that feeling completely changed when we found Modern Creation. We found a small business(confident they won’t be small for long) that takes great pride in their work and they finish in a timely manner. They were so detailed with their questions and offered options in the beginning of the job that I felt comfortable every step of the way. They cleaned up after themselves when they ended each day and were conscious that I had little kids and a dog in the house( tools, nails, sharp objects were never left out and days without a stove were left to a minimum). We love that we had access to Amir whenever we had a question and his attention to detail is very comforting. He notices everything from a drawer not being aligned right to making sure our slabs all “line matched” all the way to the inside edge of the the cabinet. Honestly, I don’t know if I would have noticed but my guests sure did. It’s been a couple of weeks since the job is done and we have zero complaints and only compliments for a job well done. Now my husband is addicted to getting more work done in the house. So far we have had our patio cover done outside(the job that started it all), our new bar addition(we wanted it to match our existing kitchen), backsplash and counter in the kitchen and pantry done. All of the areas Modern Creation has touched has become our favorite spots in the house. We look forward to our next upgrade in the house done by Modern Creation.”

“The Holy Grail of every kitchen reno is that it look “custom made.” What does that exactly mean? Well, for one thing it is the difference between a $35,000 kitchen makeover and one that costs in the range of $65,000 upwards to $100,000 and beyond. We chose Sam at CKG in Sherman Oaks to manage and design our new kitchen because he came in with the most audacious design (wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling cabinets anyone??) at a reasonable mid-range price. His kitchens are “semi-custom”, meaning he uses prefabricated, machine tooled cabinets and drawers with a variety of finishes you choose from his densely-packed showroom on Van Nuys Blvd. just off Ventura Blvd. Sam is a one-man band. He designs and then executes his design as your general contractor. My husband and I found comfort in that one man would oversee and be accountable for implementing the design, thus limiting the possibility of finger pointing if something should go wrong (which invariably and unavoidably it will). Indeed, there were “issues” that did come up but more critically Sam stayed true to the process and addressed the problems as they reared their ugly heads in good faith and resolved the problems without ever compromising the integrity of the end product. The end result is a truly gorgeous, highly functional kitchen that we love, that truly appears to be custom-made, and, in the one year since we’ve been cooking in the kitchen for ourselves and our one-year old son, has held up to the high bar that this fledgling chef demanded.
